Course Details

COVID-19 has affected organizations and their staff on every level and in every region of the country.

To ensure that organizations can continue delivering services during this pandemic and beyond, the Canadian Red Cross has created the Preventing Disease Transmission course.

Titan Health & Safety will be delivering this course both for individuals and corporate groups.

The PDT course is designed to help organizations meet public health guidelines, and is suitable for all audiences, including those who work in front-line service delivery, retail, community, and social services, and those who work with vulnerable populations.

 

  • Canadian Red Cross approved

  • How to prevent infection and prevent pathogens from entering the body.

  • The different ways diseases are transmitted and the role of immunization.

  • Proper handwashing techniques.

  • How to use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly, including donning and doffing a medical gown, a mask, protective eyewear, and gloves.

  • How to safely dispose of PPE.

 

Delivery Options:

  • Virtual classroom format is Instructor-led and includes live demonstration using teaching aids and personal protective equipment (PPE), for groups of up to 20 participants.

  • In-person, Instructor-led format is facilitated by a Canadian Red Cross Instructor and includes live demonstration while following public health guidelines and Red Cross best practices for in-person training.
