I was born in Southern Ontario where my family was in the tobacco farming business. My secondary education with an emphasis on domestic science was completed at St. Joseph's convent in London, Ontario.
After this I finished the provincial nursing (RNA) program. I am married with children and five grandchildren. I have lived in the Ottawa area since the 1970's. I enjoy theatre, sports, cottage life and traveling.
