In this class you will learn the basic stitches and patterns so you can start your journey in Blackwork embroidery.
This class will teach you basic embroidery stitches to create beautiful landscape art - whether you are in the studio, at home, hiking, out and about or traveling you can create gorgeous memories of scenes - an amazing keepsake or gift - a fabric postcard!
You will design and create your piece of hand-embroidered art. Ruth will bring images and examples of her work for you to use as inspiration and guide you through the process of creating your unique embroidery.
Not artistic? No sewing experience? No problem! This fun, versatile technique has no rules and knows no boundaries, you are free to create with it as you fancy. Learn to use your sewing machine to create works of art.
This workshop will teach you a range of hand embroidery techniques, giving you an excellent introduction and enabling you to move onto completing a variety of embroidery designs. During this session you will learn the 14 basic stitches required to complete most hand embroidery designs.
