KidTec is a successful after school enrichment program, in computer coding and programming, specifically tailored to girls and boys in elementary and middle school.
KidTec brings to South Florida a nationally recognized computer science curriculum that teaches kids the language, science and application of coding thoughtfully blended with the art of story telling – all in a fun, creative, and collaborative environment.
Coding and Game Design is offered by UNC Charlotte. Trying to balance the demands of work life and smoothly maintaining home life with children can be difficult. Sometimes you need to keep kids busy and learning while getting other things done.
This class is hands-on fun building a computer and using a raspberry pi to program it! Students will be able to program a version of Minecraft to get through eight worlds.
With Python programming with visualization, students will master basic coding and grow confidence & love in coding. They will get exposure to basic abstraction, modularity and problem decomposition.
Programs in this track emphasize technology skills in Coding and Engineering while also exposing children to Design and Entrepreneurship.
In this course, students will complete a series of fun, engaging projects (and games) designed to teach the basic syntax, structure, and process of writing programs in Python. These projects will include data-types, variables, conditionals, loops, lists, functions, algorithms, debugging and more!
