The IRATA Level 1 course is designed to train delegates who have no prior experience in the field. Training and examination requirements will be covered to be qualified as an IRATA Level 1 Technician.
IRATA Rope access courses are accredited by the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association. You will work on the skills for a certification needed for an entry-level (Rope Access Level 1), intermediate (Rope Access Level 2) and advanced (Rope Access Level 3) roles within the rope access industry.

The IRATA Level 1 course is designed to train delegates who have no prior experience in the field. Training and examination requirements will be covered to be qualified as an IRATA Level 1 Technician. A Level 1 technician is able to perform a limited range of rope access tasks. Level 1 technicians work under the supervision of a Level 3.
The course covers the basic principles of movement on ropes. For example, ascent, descent and changing from ascent to descent. You will also learn how to change from rope to rope, crossing a knot, aid climbing and traversing. Also included are passing re-anchors, deviations, using a back-up system, learning elementary rigging and rope management.
