NCVT is National Council of Vocational Training. It is an advisory body that was set up by the Government of India in the year 1956. It was formerly called as National Council of Training in Vocational Trades (NCTVT). 

NCVT or National Council of Vocational Training follows all guidelines and principles that have been laid down by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Directorate General of Training (DGT), Government of India.
