DurationCourse Overview
GCSE Chemistry, Biology and Physics are the three main core topics within the GCSE Science family. The subject content for all three sciences provide the students to; build confidence, develop skills and deeper thinking.
At Alpha Tutorials we provide a clear background and basis when implementing the theory, as well as guidance for practical activities. We have teachers with many years’ experience teaching Science in secondary schools. We have resources to support teaching and learning which takes place in our classes.
We encourage group and paired working to ensure theories are explained clearly. This allows learners to develop confidence to think independently. These qualifications provide students a better opportunity into further education within the sciences.
Alpha Tutorials is a registered charity based in Leicester. We provide support, training and recognised qualification for everyone; current students, new students, adults or individuals looking to retrain later in their lives.
We offer various GCSE, AS and A Level courses, as well as other courses aimed at improving your future. (We only supplement what has been taught in Schools and Colleges and do not provide full courses.)
We also offer the Primary Key Stage 2 Curriculum for Children above 7 years old. We Offer the National Key State 3 Curriculum to Year 7, 8 and 9 Secondary School Students providing them a chance to study Maths, English & Science.
The GCSE Programme for the Core Subjects – Maths, English and Science at Key Stage 4 is Offered to Year 10 and Year 11.
We take on external candidates for all GCSE & A level exams with all the major exam boards but do not do any of the A-Level Practical’s. Simply drop us an email or call us during our opening times and we will assist. Please note that our students get first priority for external exams.
Science Tuition is offered by Tutors and Exams. We can now accept GCSE Science applications for Biology, Chemistry, Combined Science and Physics, as long as a candidate is working with a DLP and completes a practical statement via their DLP. The carry forward rule is still in place as well.
Science helps a person understand the world around them. We provide science tuition in all three science subjects: physics, chemistry and biology. This can be done in person at your home, at our centre, online or at your school.
Each week, a new challenge will be available for our students to engage in, alongside their individualized tutoring programs. These challenges will introduce our students to the fields of Maths, Science, STEM, Geography and Philosophy.
The courses including core subjects such as English, Maths and Science, studied in Key Stage 4, frame the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) and are held at the end of Year 11. GCSEs are subject-based academic qualifications below A levels.
Our tutors are highly qualified and experienced who are passionate to help students to learn, understand and progress beyond their knowledge. At Prime, students in Key Stage 3 can also prepare for 13 plus entrance exams.
