It is POSSIBLE to score an A grade for Humanities subjects like Social Studies. Our tutors impart critical thinking skills that enable your child to assess and discuss important ideas and concepts independently.
Students who follow our methodologies and essay-writing techniques will feel more confident not just in Social Studies, History, or Geography, but for other essay-heavy subjects like English / General Paper, Literature, and Economics.
All of our 2015 students from the Combined Humanities class scored As. Based on past records, 63% – 75% of our students can achieve As, beating the national average of 28% distinctions for Combined Humanities.
Does practice make perfect for Mathematics and Science? Yes and no. Both subjects require constant practice, but it is more critical for students to have a crystal-clear understanding of scientific facts and mathematical / science concepts.
Relying simply on memory work or rote practice is ineffective. What enables students to score distinctions are: the precision of answering (with minimal mistakes); appropriate presentation of Science answers and Mathematical workings; and knowing how to apply concepts to applications. These are the keys to scoring well.
Our mathematics and science tutors will offer your child tips to easily understand mathematical and scientific concepts — such as calculation shortcuts that will help them save time during tests and exams.
Students are also taught how to identify and correct their errors (eg. calculation mistakes, misreading of question requirements, copying errors, using wrong decimal places and significant figures).
By avoiding such mistakes, students can save plenty of marks — which can result in a significant one-grade improvement!
At INSPIRE, students are exposed to a wide variety of questions that may be tested for examinations. These include real-world practice questions that require the use of skills and concepts that they have learned.
They will learn how to quickly identify different question types that require specific mathematical formulae and how to apply the right science processing skills to score well in actual examination conditions.
We believe that a strong foundation is the way to achieve academic excellence in this subject. Efforts are taken into relating the right concepts and correcting misconceptions. Concept applications are taught through a series of extensive practice aimed at developing higher order thinking. St...
Our learning studios are equipped with state of the art technology (touch screen projectors and tablet laptops) that will provide an extraordinary learning experience for the students!
At the Secondary level, students undertake a general science course which encompasses concepts across Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Some schools, especially IP schools, choose to split this to two separate subjects: Physical Sciences and Life Sciences.
When it comes to science in Primary school, the difficulty lies in not the students’ understanding but in the method of answering. Hence, we try to tackle this main issue for each level while allowing studentslearn through fun via our science tuition centre in Singapore.
?Students who find the following challenges will benefit from our programme who are unable to consolidate information and gain clarity and those who are unable to apply concept to application questions or unable to manage hybrid questions (different topics woven into a single question, or Losing m...
