How Do I Receive A Security License?
After completing your security license training as well as your first aid and CPR training, you will receive a Training Completion Number (TCN) which can be used to book the Ministry test. The test may be booked online and completed at an Ontario test centre for $75.15 (price subject to change).
This test contains 60 multiple-choice questions which must be completed in 75 minutes. In order to pass, you must receive a 62% mark or higher.
If you fail the test, you may try again as there are no limits in test attempts, but there will be a $75.15 (price subject to change) fee each time.
How Long is my Security License Valid?
In Ontario, a security license validity is linked to your birthday. The first time you receive a security license, it will expire after two birthdays. From then, you will need to renew it every two years.

Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) training is the maximum First Aid & CPR/AED training level. During the eight-day course, students get intensive training from Canadian Red Cross Instructors, ensuring they have no gaps in their theoretical or practical first aid skills.
In addition, the participants learn how to assess and save lives as they practice their various life-saving skills in several recreated scenarios. As an EMR, your training and skills surpass those of a First Aid professional.
You will learn to provide essential life support treatments: oxygen and medication management, bleeding control, wound care, splinting, pain relief, CPR, etc. However.
One of the most critical EMR skills is learning to make the correct assessments of sick or injured patients and to follow these with informed decisions that determine the best care and transportation to a hospital.
Each year thousands of employees across the country are injured by the machines they are most familiar with and believe are safe to use without safety guards. In fact, OSHA estimates that lack of machine guarding is the second most frequent safety violation in industry today.
