Sew-along meets once a month for 5 months, starting Wednesday, Sept. 14, October 12, Nov. 9, January 11 and February 8. Class meets from 1-3 p.m. Participants will receive monthly guidance for each stage of planning and construction.
Should have knowledge of basic quilting skills including accurate rotary cutting, 1/4" seam piecing and pressing.
Registrants will get detailed instructions for each session before the class.
The idea for a quilt and fabric co-op was born when Glad Creations closed after 42 years at 34th and Bloomington. A strong community of sewing and quilting enthusiasts wanted.
To keep a shop in South Minneapolis and launched a project to turn it into a consumer-owned co-op. Thanks to the early and hard-working volunteers, the Quilt Shop Co-op opened in October, 2020.
Bring your knitting needles and crochet hooks and join me on this journey! My hope is that The Knitting Otter is a place where you can go to shop, sit and knit, crochet, learn from each other and make new friends. Â
In this camp, children will select complimentary fabrics, how to cut fabric, piece the quilt, and basic machine quilting to quilt their piece with cuddle fabric, and apply a binding to a small quilt.
Students in classes and camps choose to work on projects that interest them across many different fiber arts such as sewing, knitting, weaving, crochet or jewelry making.
In our Hand Sewing class we leave it open to anything we wanna sew with a hand needle and thread. Everything from embroidery to making plushies will be covered in this class! Open your mind and we’ll make what you find
You will learn how to chain, single crochet, yarn over, half double crochet, read a pattern, and beginning crochet terminology.
