If you’ve been wanting to learn to sew, or you haven’t touched a sewing machine in years, this is the class for you!  In just one class we’ll walk you through the basics and you’ll leave class with a finished project! Our adult classes are currently limited to 3 students per instructor.

Here’s what we’ll cover in this 90-minute class open to adults 14 and up. Kids’ sewing classes can be booked under the After School & Saturday listing.

 

Introduction to our sewing machines or yours (for more in-depth machine class check out Machine 101)

  • Sewing straight lines, turning corners
  • Properly removing fabric from the machine
  • Troubleshooting basic machine problems
  • Construct a four-patch pillow
  • Hand sewing if time permits
  • Much more!

Sewing machines, tools, and fabric will be provided, just bring yourself!

What we provide:

  • Sewing machine, threads, scissors, etc.

  • Expert guidance!

What you need to know:

  • Zero experience necessary

What you need to bring:

  • sewing machine (optional)
  • water bottle
  • reading glasses
  • fabric (*optional)

*This project requires four 8″ squares for the front and a single 16″ square for the back.  We usually use quilting cotton but you’re welcome to bring anything you like!

Bookings for this class must be made 12 hours in advance, if no times show up under the calendar it’s too close to the class start time.  You can call the studio to check for the availability of last-minute bookings.
