I'm a trained costume maker and milliner with twenty years experience working in the costume industry. During this time I have been able to indulge my love of making beautiful things through creating a wide variety of costumes.
For Theatre, Dance, Film and Television, as well as bespoke pieces for private clients. Many of these were made in my attic workroom, the original Rooftop Atelier from which the school now takes its name.

Learn to sew! In just two hours you will be confidently threading the sewing machine, winding the bobbin, finishing edges, using basic functions, turning corners and playing around with decorative stitches.
These lessons are suitable for all ages from 8+ and can be booked for 1 or 2 people. I invite you to learn the basics of using a sewing machine in a relaxed & friendly environment – you can even bring your own sewing machine if you like.
Ideal for adult absolute beginners to machine sewing. Learn to sew or refresh the basics of using a sewing machine - then sew a cushion cover & zip purse to take home. Skills learnt are excellent prep for making clothes in future projects
