Do I need to bring anything?
All sewing machines, equipment, tools and fabrics are supplied as well as snacks and tea and coffee. You are welcome to bring your own machine if you prefer as long as you are familiar with its basic operation.
If not book please book into one of our get to know your machine sessions first where we can run you though getting started with your machine one on one.

Cross stitch is a great first step into learning embroidery, as it involves only a couple of simple hand stitches and their variations. It can be used to decorate garments, linen, and to create pictures.
This introductory beginners sewing class will teach you all the basics to get you started on the sewing machine! You will learn the parts and features of a sewing machine, how to set up the machine, the different stitches, settings and seams and how to solve common sewing problems.
This class will take you to the next level, from confidently threading your machine, sewing accurately and having a very basic understanding of sewing to being able to attempt more complex skills and techniques.
Learn to sew using a sewing machine! Build skills and techniques for making clothes and accessories. Our Beginners course runs on Tuesday evenings 6.30 – 9pm over 6 weeks from Jan 31st and is now full.
Want to learn how to Hand piece? This is perfect class for you. Using Jen Kingwell's Tempter patterns we can learn how to piece by hand. This is great skill to learn how to use different shaped pieces come together.
