Come and spend five days seriously improving your sewing techniques on this intensive, practical course based in our professional fashion studios.
On this course, you’ll progress through each of the sewing techniques, practising how to make a collar, cuffs, button stands, sleeves, plackets and button holes in calico fabric.
It’ll be intense - but great fun!

This beginners course will take you step by step through the very basics of sewing. You will be taught over the space of 6 hours how to make your own casual men’s shorts or women’s flared pants along with tricks and professional techniques.
All our adult classes are mixed ability and mixed project. Every student has the opportunity to make what they want to make with expert guidance and support. This means we can have a wedding dress being made along side piped cushions! The classes are small between 3-5 participants.
Use foundation piecing to create a lovely table runner with a curved flying geese panel. Make it in festive or everyday fabrics. Includes foundation papers - fabrics are needed.
Our dedicated classroom is fitted out with the latest machines and equipment for your enjoyment.
Patchwork & Quilting classes are offered by New Forest Fabrics for all skill level. We have 6 sewing machines for hire. If you wish to reserve one, please confirm when booking. The charge is £5 per class. You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine if you prefer.
