Sewing With Knits Workshop

• 4 days of design, fitting and sewing instruction
• classroom equipped with pressing stations, irons and pressing tools
• 6 foot table for each student

Nothing beats the comfort of knits. And sewing knits can be quick and easy, too. The challenge is getting the fit just right so you don't end up with a garment that is too tight or too baggy. Join me for this knit workshop and explore the world of knits.

Learn about patterns, sizing, needles and thread. Start with a basic t-shirt and practice sewing seams with a regular sewing machine and/or a serger. You'll see a variety of easy options for neckline finishes – bands, bindings and facings. Or try any other top or dress pattern and practice your fitting and knit sewing skills. Learn about fitting and sewing pants and skirts, including options for applying elastic waistbands.

You'll have knit know-how and will be ready to create a wardrobe of comfortable, easy sew, easy care garments.
