Lessons start for students from age 5. Lessons are held in a professional studio, with a dual focus on enjoying singing and music education.

Solo lessons may have a focus on classical or modern singing, or can simply be designed to explore all musical genres.

Geelong Singing helps you use your voice to create a whole vocal sound with safe vocal practices to ensure longevity and comfort when singing.

 

Education:

  • Our Teachers will help students through their music education journey, whether it be to learn the basics in vocal production, exam and further music studies, auditions and more.

 

Performance:

  • As with any musician, performance is a huge part of being a singer. Students will get many oportunities to perform in front of a live audience as well as training for any auditions and special events.

 

Theory:

  • A basic understanding of Music Theory is important for all musicians and singers are no exception. With extensive training in theory students can feel confident in learning the fundamentals of music theory as well as the specific requirements for singing exams and VCE music.

  • Georgia has been singing her whole life, starting her performing career at music festivals and talent competitions from the age of 8. Whilst having an innate love for all aspects of singing and performing, Georgia is at her most comfortable in the world of Musical Theatre. Having begun her acting career in her school productions, Georgia quickly progressed, taking on roles such as Mary Magdalene in ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ and Lucille Frank in ‘Parade’ for which she was nominated for a Victorian Musical Theatre Guild Award in 2012. After graduating her VCE from Sacred Heart College she was immediately accepted into the Musical Theatre Program at VCA (Victorian College of the Arts - Melbourne, 2014) where she continued to foster her love of the stage. In 2015 she was accepted into the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA - Sydney, 2015) to study a Diploma of Musical Theatre. Georgia has more recently starred in numerous Musical Theatre productions in the Geelong area, such as 'Wicked' (Nessarose), 'Les Miserables' (Cosette), 'The Sound of Music' (Maria) and 'Mamma Mia' (Lisa). Currently, Georgia is studying a Bachelor of Education (Primary) at Deakin University. She is balancing university studies with her employment at Torquay Dance Academy, Moriac Primary School and Geelong Singing. She is thrilled to be sharing the knowledge and confidence she has acquired as a singer, actor and performer, and very much looking forward to a successful 2020.
