I am Carol from Carols of Midland, Western Australia – I would like you to take a few moments to read all about the history of Carols of Midland. Our shop is a family owned and run business, by myself, husband Bob and daughter Michelle.
Over 2Â classes you will make yourself a simple skirt. You will cover how to read dress patterns, do basic pattern alterations to fit your measurements, cut and prepare fabric for sewing, then sew a skirt with waistband or facing with a zipper to fit you!
Come and join us for a coffee and a chat. Bring along your machine and that project you need to finish or maybe start a new one. You may want to learn how to do something new, we are here to help. Please come and say hello.
Absolute beginners or rusty sewers  will have a BALL (Lucille Ball!!) building your sewing skills and knowledge with The Basic Sewing Course. The 6 x 4 hour classes will take you step by step through  how to operate your sewing machine, learn different sewing techniques.
Designed for the novice sewist, the Sew from Scratch 6 week beginners course helps participants to improve their confidence through a series of fun sewing projects. Â Start with getting to know your machine and move through to using patterns and basic garment construction.
In 2023 we will return to scheduled group classes. Some of these are outlined are Finishing Techniques Part 1: Mattress Stitch - Improve the look of your garments with professional sewing up techniques
