Bring your own machine and supplies. Iron and cutting mats will be available to use. This is not a structured class, but our knowledgeable staff will be on hand to help if you need.
We started with humble beginnings in 1977, tucked into a Kingston shopping arcade. A few decades and three expansions later, we’ve grown to the largest full service sewing equipment supplier in Canberra, with a special interest in machine embroidery.
This class is for those who have recently got a new machine or want to become comfortable using their sewing machine. You will learn what all those dials and buttons are for, how sewing machines work and the basics about fabric, needles, threads and bobbins.
You will learn to sew: a top with sleeves, a skirt with zipper, and an easy dress. Set in sleeves . Also, you will learn how to do the fitting for your body.
Learn to sew using a sewing machine! Build skills and techniques for making clothes and accessories. Our Beginners course runs on Tuesday evenings 6.30 – 9pm over 6 weeks from Jan 31st and is now full.
In this one day workshop you will be exposed to many industry techniques and secret gems to help you solve those ever repeating issues you may deal with every time you use a commercial pattern.
This online class will show you how to create a beautiful linen napkin using your sewing machine. You will work with decorative threads using a wing needle, heirloom stitches and learn how to master mitered corners.
