Site Safety & Health Training

The Malaysian construction industry has a poor health and safety record. According to the Department of Occupational Safety and Health, there were 326 accidents and 84 deaths reported in year 2019 alone.

The construction industry employs more than 770,000 workers and has long been considered as a difficult, dangerous and dirty occupation due to the high incidence of accidents, injuries and deaths.

One of the major causes identified is the lack of appropriate knowledge and skills of those assigned with responsibilities for safety and health.

As such, this course aimed to improve the awareness of safety and health in construction sites known as the training were developed to equip the site personnel with appropriate knowledge and skill that will enable them to perform safely in the construction environment.

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the session, all participants will be able to:-

• Provide knowledge on legal compliance of site safety

• Secure the site workers awareness on site safety and health

• Protect workers against hazards at workplace

• Promote a safe occupational environment for workforces
