About us
At The Myton Hospices we believe that everyone matters for every single moment of their life, we focus on enhancing life when cure is no longer an option; supporting people living with a terminal illness, and their families, from the point of diagnosis to end of life.
We are leaders in compassionate end of life care; our work centres on patient wellbeing and involving them in decisions about their care. Perhaps most importantly we give our patients more quality time with their loved ones.
Did you know…? We are not the NHS, we are a charity and just 20% of our funding comes from the NHS.
This year alone, we need to raise £11 million of the £14.3 million it costs to continue providing our services free of charge to patients and their loved ones.
Last year, we supported thousands of people and their families, in our hospices, via our patient & family support services, and in the community through Myton at Home.
Learn the theory and science of wound care, and practice wound care techniques including dressings, suture removal and clip removal.
Learners will develop an understanding of the types of wounds, wound healing and factors influencing the health process. We will look at skin structure and function and build on learner confidence to support with wound management.
