Progression
Students can progress to an IT & Computing Apprenticeship with Apprenticeships at Salford City College. Alternatively, students can progress to study an undergraduate course at a university of their choice or progress to employment.
Entry Requirements
Level 1 Vocational Courses: Students are required to have 4 GCSEs at grade 1-9.Level 2 Vocational Courses: Students are required to have 4 GCSEs at grade 3-9.Level 3 Vocational Courses:
Students are required to have 5 GCSEs at grade 4-9, this must include either English Language or Maths.Additional Information: We will consider 1 Vocational qualification in place of a GCSE as long as a grade 4 is achieved in English Language.

DevOps Foundation is an introduction to DevOps. This course delivers the cultural and professional movement that expands the communication, collaboration, integration, and automation to enhance and update the flow of work between software developers and IT operation professionals.
As companies deploy code faster and more often than ever, new vulnerabilities are also accelerating. When the boss says, “Do more with less”, DevOps practices adds business and security value as an integral, strategic component.
This apprenticeship standard will develop the skills necessary to build and test simple, high-quality code across front-end, logic and database layers.
The Docker certification training course provides an overview of the core Docker technologies including the Docker Compose, Dockerfile, Docker Engine and Docker Network. The course also covers the Docker Hub, Docker Swarm, Docker Containers and Docker Storage
The SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) Foundation course is an introduction to the principles & practices that enable an organization to reliably and economically scale critical services.
