The definition of a “Supervisor” under Occupational Health and Safety Act is “a person who has charge of a workplace or authority over a worker”. This 8-hour course is designed for individuals working in a supervisory role to enhance the capabilities of the supervisor. This course is focused on the importance of due diligence, competency, and understanding the requirements and obligations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, as well as applicable safety regulations (Regulation 213/91 for Construction Projects, Regulation 851 Industrial Establishments).
This course also incorporates, and exceeds, all requirements of Ontario Regulation 297/13 for occupational health and safety awareness training. Participants will go through an extensive theoretical program, which includes real life scenarios, relevant court cases and group discussion, followed by a theoretical evaluation.
