Our Swedish Massage Course is designed for beginners. On the course students will learn how to massage the whole body, relieving stress and tension and deeply relaxing clients, enhancing their health and well being.
Swedish massage is the foundation for other types of Western massage, including sports massage, deep tissue massage and aromatherapy massage. It is based on the Western concepts of anatomy and physiology, as opposed to energy work on “meridians” or Sen lines in Asian massage systems. It usually lasts between 50 or 60-minutes.
A comprehensive Anatomy & Physiology manual is included with this course and will be sent to students prior to the training day.
The course can be carried out either in our training room, in your salon or in the comfort of your own home at no extra cost. Should the distance fall outside a 12 mile radius, a small fuel charge may be charged.
Students will receive a Dazzle School of Beauty Diploma upon successful completion of this Swedish Massage Course, which is accredited by the Associated Beauty Therapists. This will enable students to apply for insurance, which is necessary to work in the UK. While attending this course, we will provide all the products for you, so there is no need to purchase a kit to attend.
There is a maximum of two students admitted on the course. If both students attend then the training will be on a “give and receive basis”, as we believe that it is important to not only carry out the treatment but to also experience the treatment yourself.
However, the course will not be cancelled should only one student be booked on the course. You would be able to complete the course on a one to one basis with your Tutor, and you will be asked to arrange to bring a model along for the practical session.
We understand that when you first learn a new skill, it may take a little while to feel fully confident, and that some students need more reassurance than others. That is why we run practice sessions for all of the courses we offer.
If you have completed your training with us within the last 6 months then you can come back and talk through with a student mentor about any problems or difficulties you might have encountered and carry out the treatment under their guidance to fine tune your skills.
You would in most cases need to bring your own model along, but for some treatments we can arrange a model. You would need to have insurance in place to attend because, as qualified therapists, you would no longer be covered by our student teaching insurance.
Unfortunately we are unable to offer practice sessions to students if they completed their training in that subject with a different training provider; they must have initially trained with us.
A body massage is a treatment that uses physical contact to help relieve muscular tension and relax the body. This course provides the skills and qualification you need to successfully deliver a massage treatment.
In this course, you’ll learn how to effectively use Reflexology Wands to enhance your treatments. These tools can help you apply greater pressure and ease the strain on your hands, all while maintaining the core principles of reflexology.
The demand for lymphatic drainage massage has rapidly increased in the UK market in recent years.
During this course you will learn a range of massage techniques and how to use them to manipulate the muscles in the body to meet the needs of your client.
Although hand reflexology is included in the Bayly School Practitioner Course and on other courses, many practitioners use this very little and often lack confidence at giving treatment to hands. However, there are times when hand reflexology may be more appropriate than foot reflexology.
