This course uses in-person lectures which are recorded. All labs are in-person.

An introduction to the gross anatomical structures and functional connections of the core systems in the human body, including the musculoskeletal, circulatory, respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary, and reproductive systems.

Demonstrations reinforce and extend the lectures.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Identify the major structures and general function of the body systems. 
  • Explain the functional mechanisms behind the anatomy and each part’s role in maintaining homeostasis. 
  • Apply your understanding of the anatomy to predict and/or rationalize symptoms of provided clinical cases.
