Tactical Firearm Training

Tactical Firearm training is offered by Nascar Firearm & Security Training. Nascar firearm and security training is an accredited firearm training institution accredited with the professional firearm training council (pftc) as well as the with the South African police services as a registered training provider.

Handgun, self-loading rifle or carbine, shotgun and manually operated rifle or carbine proficiency training.

Offered to individuals who want to apply for their firearm competencies and thereafter a license to possess a firearm as stipulated by the firearms control act( act 60 of 2000).

Remember that only firearms specified for the purpose of self-defence can be applied for under this category.

How It Works:

• Learner completes the registration form after deciding on which course they are interested in doing.
• Relevant payment is made for the course.
• Learner then receives his/her learning material for relevant course which can be completed at home or in their own time.
• Once completed the learner contacts the training provider (NASCAR firearm training) to arrange to do the summative (closed book assessment) and the practical assessment (shoot for the relevant firearm)
• On successful completion of all the above, the learner then receives an accredited certificate (statement of results from pftc)
• Learner is now ready to apply for his/her competency certificate at the saps.
