Kelly Hurlbutt created Excels Dance Academy back in 2006. The group originally met in a small church hall, but since the classes have proved more popular they now take place at Hollymoor Centre. Excels provides a range of different dance classes from ballet to street dancing.
Tap classes are offered by Sylvia Bird Dance Centre. We follow an accredited dance syllabus for each subject, giving our students the opportunity to progress through Graded examinations with B.T.D.A. and we have a 100% pass rate.
We pride ourselves on the amount of fun and laughter that takes place in this class every week so if you want to make some new friends as well as learning to dance, this is the class for you!
Adult Beginners Tap classes are offered by Topaz Dancentre. Our expert teachers are fully qualified, DBS checked and understand that different people learn in different ways. Therefore all our teachers allow students to progress at their own speed.
Our beginners/level 1 class focuses on learning the basic tap steps and then incorporating them into fun dance routines
Tap is all about sound and rhythm. Here we wear tap shoes to create rhythmical variation while we dance and develop musicality and showmanship.
