Kelly Hurlbutt created Excels Dance Academy back in 2006. The group originally met in a small church hall, but since the classes have proved more popular they now take place at Hollymoor Centre. Excels provides a range of different dance classes from ballet to street dancing.
Tap is an essential part of a dancer’s training in order to become a versatile, rounded performer. The dancer learns rhythm and musicality while having fun.
Preparatory Tap (Infants class) classes are offered by The Dance Depo Dance School All our teachers are experienced professionals qualified at associate or degree level in their chosen genre. All staff are CRB checked.
Senior Tap classes are offered by Eve Trew School of Dance. We provide a safe and friendly environment for your children.
Tap dance is a form of dance characterized by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. Two major variations on tap dance exist: rhythm (jazz) tap and Broadway tap.
