Tap is a great way to develop rhythm, agility, and co-ordination through intricate footwork. This class is excellent for developing a sense of rhythm and musicality – children have fun learning different rhythms and trying to re-create them with their feet!
For ages 3-5, we offer a 45-minute class that incorporates tap, ballet and some creative work.
If you or your child loves to make noise or follow the beat with your feet, then Tap is for you. Every student’s year culminates in the annual performances in June at the Winnipeg Centennial Concert Hall. We’ll see you on stage!
Classes are focused on introducing dancers to different disciplines: Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and Baton. An Acro – Mini class can be added to compliment the dancer’s training. Students are grouped according to age, ability, and previous training.
The tap syllabus is based on the Al Gilbert graded system. This system begins with pre-tap and proceeds through an additional 10 grades.Â
