Tap classes is offered by Kickit Dance Studio. A combination of footwork and rhythm set to music or acapella
Students learn traditional tap skills, including steps, combinations and rhythms, as well as the history and theory behind them. In more advanced classes a stomp and hip hop style of tap is explored.
Tap classes provide an excellent way to further your childās dance education after two or three years of Combination Dance classes. Particular emphasis is placed on tap technique with instruction on musicality and rhythms included.
Class consisting of complete tap instruction involving a warm-up, progressing stationary steps, and travelling steps across the room along with learning a routine for competition.
Ankle mobility, weight placement, and glute activation are key components. Tyneal approaches Tap from a fundamental movement approach with proper conditioning and biomechanical techniques, while weaving in the history and rhythm of the steps.
