With over 15 years teaching experience in styles such as: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern/Contemporary, Hip Hop, Pointe and Exam Classes.
We want to give our students the best experience possible. For this reason, we will strive to provide as much exposure to different choreographers through a variety of workshops and performances throughout the dance year. When it comes to our Tap lessons, we combine the CDTA syllabus with the Stepping Tones (Al Gilbert) syllabus to provide instruction to students aged 5-16.
Tap was initially popularized in Hollywood by such great dancers as Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers and Shirley Temple and more recently, by the hugely popular performers Tap Dogs, Stomp and Riverdance.
Technique and choreography classes, Al Gilbert syllabus and freestyle.
Fun and upbeat, Tap combines a technical and rhythmical spin on dance. Exam classes, free-style and Irish are offered.
Students learn traditional tap skills, including steps, combinations and rhythms, as well as the history and theory behind them. In more advanced classes a stomp and hip hop style of tap is explored.
