Tap is broadly divided into two styles – Rhythm Tap and Theatre Tap. Rhythm Tap focuses on musicality and improvisation, and Theatre Tap is much more stylistic.

Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style, and sound. Students will learn a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement
Students will learn how to count and understand various beats within music and by doing so they will be able to grasp the relationship between the sounds they create with their feet and the music.Â
