We would also like to take this opportunity to connect with our land.
We acknowledge that our studio is situated in the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.
We strive to be accountable by acknowledging this history and respecting our relationship with our Indigenous community, on whose ancient and sacred land we live, work and dance.
Let us journey together.
This class is great for coordination, fun, and fitness. Your student will enjoy learning rhythmical footwork, creative choreography, and how to be a team player in this upbeat class! Younger students interested in trying out this style can check out Mix'n'Match classes or our Hip Hop and Tap class.
Students will learn how to count and understand various beats within music and by doing so they will be able to grasp the relationship between the sounds they create with their feet and the music.Â
Fun and upbeat, Tap combines a technical and rhythmical spin on dance. Exam classes, free-style and Irish are offered.
Classes are focused on introducing dancers to different disciplines: Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and Baton. An Acro – Mini class can be added to compliment the dancer’s training. Students are grouped according to age, ability, and previous training.
Make music with your feet! Tap dance is a type of dance characterized by using the sounds of metal taps on the heel and toe of shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. This lively expressive dance form develops rhythm and coordination
