EDF offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Improv, Musical Theatre and Vocals.
The curriculum is designed to provide beginner, intermediate and advanced dancers with a solid foundation in technique and to assist those who wish to become a professional dancer or those who study for the pure enjoyment of the art form.
Tap is a wonderful style of dance that allows a dancer to create music with their feet. It is the ultimate component in learning about rhythm and timing.
An exciting rhythm based dance form that promotes coordination, musicality and fitness. Classes consist of warm-up, tap barre, tap drills, improvisation and routines.
The Advanced Kinder Program is designed for children ages 4 to 6 years of age. Some previous dance experience is recommended (usually 1 or 2 years of the Kinder Program). This program runs for 1 ½ hours and is divided into 45 minutes of tap instruction and 45 minutes of jazz instruction.
Our students will learn traditional tap dances along with other classic steps. Tap develops rhythm with coordination and improvisational skills.
Make music with your feet! Tap dance is a type of dance characterized by using the sounds of metal taps on the heel and toe of shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. This lively expressive dance form develops rhythm and coordination
