Dancers are trained in various styles including swing, classic and street tap. Specialized teachers who have danced professionally and continue to undergo their own training development pass on their expertise daily to provide unique results.

Graduates from these programs have gone on to professional careers performing in Broadway Musicals, the Charlottetown Festival and the Tapestry Tap Company, North America’s only full-time tap company.

Tap dance classes are offered by Dancefit Canada . At Dancefit Canada, we offer all new dancers a free one week trial for any class on our schedule. We offer both recreational and competitive dance, cultivating creativity in all our dancers in a safe, healthy and positive environment.
Students 6 years and older will have fun learning all the fast and fancy footwork associated with tap. Our program centres on the important aspects of tap dance including coordination, timing and clarity of sound.
Dancers can develop lifetime friendships and gain confidence all the while learning the art of dance.
Broadway tap focuses more on the ‘dance’ and is widely performed as a part of musical theatre. Rhythm tap focuses more on musicality, and practitioners consider themselves to be a part of the jazz tradition.
