Tiptoe Classical Dance is a classically based programme for children aged 2 to 5. We offer young children the teaching, the space and the opportunity to learn sound dance fundamentals in a happy, inspired, fun environment.
The fundamental foundations of classical dance are simple and appropriate for young children to learn, explore and play with. It’s these foundations that Tiptoe is built on.
Everything from the way our teachers are trained; to our uniforms; to the way our programmes are designed; is fresh, real and a little bit different.
Our Tiptoe Dance classes are based at our studio in Coorparoo, Brisbane. Our Tiptoe teachers are patient and kind, and we always have 2 teachers per class. This is one of the key reasons why students respond so well to our classes.
All of our teachers are classically trained, and have been (or are) professional dancers themselves. They also have Bluecards and experience in teaching this age group.
We encourage boys to join our classes, and our school colours, uniforms and programmes have been designed with this in mind.
Brisbane Dance Theatre (BDT) was conceived out of a need to offer children and Adults of the South Brisbane community exceptional training in Contemporary Dance, Classical Ballet, Pilates, Music and Hip Hop from highly qualified teachers.
Our Tiptoe dance programme caters for children between the ages of 2-5 and our Classical Ballet programme is for students from 5 years of age and follows the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet (ACB) training and assessment programme which is based on the Russian (Vaganova) method. ]
Vaganova training emphasizes dynamics and subtleties associated with correct placement and performing qualities in a dancer.
These are classes for young beginners from which students may choose a direction to advance through the grades or to attend the next appropriate level of classes as a recreational activity.
The Tiny Dancers class is an introduction to dance for pre school aged children. Children will explore the joy of movement while developing their coordination, motor skills, spatial awareness and rhythm in a fun and imaginative environment.
Ready Set Dance has been developed by Principals from some of Sydney's leading performing arts studios. A dancer that enrols in READY SET DANCE can continue their dance journey from preschooler to professional dancer.
If you're looking to enrol your young child in dance lessons, Reflexions Dance Studio is the obvious choice. We’ll help your child find their dancing feet, as well as build balance and coordination.
From walking age until 2 years, this class is for children and a parent/guardian to participate in together. Ribbons, dots, teddy bears and songs are all incorporated for a fun movement activity.
