DurationThe full form of ‘TOEFL’ is – ‘Test of English as a Foreign Language‘, and it is a test conducted by the Educational Testing Service (ETS). These are the same people that conduct the GRE every year. The TOEFL exam is conducted in two versions:
Internet-based test (iBT) and
Paper-based test (PBT).
The TOEFL iBT is a four-hour, computerized test with four sections: Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing. You’ll use one main skill for each section (so on Reading you’ll read passages and on Listening you’ll listen to audio clips), with some questions or tasks requiring the use of multiple skills.
In order to take the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), you need to have passed in 10+2 from any recognised Indian Board or University.
The test is scored on a scale of 0 to 300 on each section, added up to determine the total score (0 – 900). The minimum passing score is 600, corresponding to 200 scores for each section.
