All Administration Support Staff
This training will be provided to staff as part of the new Employee Orientation Training within 2 weeks of hire.
Training will include:
An overview of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 and the requirements of the customer service standard
Safety training Ottawas’ accessible customer service plan
How to interact and communicate with people with various types of disabilities
How to interact with people with disabilities who use an assistive device or require the assistance of a service animal or a support person
What to do if a person with a disability is having difficulty in accessing Safety Training Ottawas’ goods and services
Staff will also be trained when changes are made to our accessible customer service plan.
Safety training is committed to excellence in serving all customers including people with disabilities.
Traffic control is used to regulates the flow of traffic to protect construction workers and the motoring public, stop traffic when necessary, and allow construction to proceed safely and effectively.
The one-day Signaller and Traffic Control Person program is designed to assist those who work as signallers or as traffic control persons understand the relevant legislation, learn the risks associated with their work, and find out how to manage those risks.
Traffic Control (Flagperson Certification) course is offered by Camosun Coastal Centre. The Camosun Coastal Centre (CCC) brokers training to enhance workforce development in the shipbuilding industry.
