Completion time will vary depending on individual circumstances. The program is designed to allow for flexibility, and may be completed at an accelerated pace.The program must be completed within 3 years.
A wide variety of instructional strategies is used in the program. Instructional strategies may include interactive lecture, presentations, assignments, guest speakers, discussions, group work, field trips, and case studies.
Courses may be offered in online, face-to-face, and blended formats. PIDP 3220 must be taken face-to-face.

The TTSC is appropriate from those with no teaching experience to those with substantial teaching experience but little training in instructional skills. Students should have:

During this time, trainees will be expected to achieve competency in delivering all aspects of the course to the point where they can be formally assessed in the last week of the course.
After successful monitoring, candidates are authorized to teach first aid courses on their own.
Delivery of a pre-prepared training session on the delegate’s chosen subject related to their work.
This course will provide instructors with the competencies to deliver competency-based courses in a classroom, in accordance with the ICAO Adapted Instructor Competency Model.
This in-person workshop provides an opportunity for individual instructors or instructional teams to focus on the enhancement of a new or existing assessment in their course(s).
