We teach beginner to advanced violin students. For beginner violin students, our instructors utilize the Suzuki violin repertoire, Royal Conservatory of Music and more to create a well-rounded musical experience.
Many of our students choose to take Royal Conservatory of Music examinations and play in festivals. Students of all ages and levels have an opportunity to play in our CSM string ensembles.

Hour-Long lesson, once a week. Students are introduced to the violin in a fun, socially-stimulating group environment. In class, students will learn the rudiments of playing the violin, including proper form, simple notes and tunes, and basic music theory and note reading.
We also help students see how this beautiful instrument presents the composer with a challenge that must be met with creativity and ingenuity. The violin is essentially a sounding box with strings that are vibrated by a bow.
During your first few weeks with STEP, the parent, too, will learn the basics of how to play and care for the instrument, all to better support your child's musical education
Our violin lessons start as young as age 5. We have students of all ages from children to adults. Our violin teachers have university or college degrees in their instrument and many perform regularly with local orchestras or bands.
Students can study a wide range of musical genres from classical and popular, to traditional fiddle music
