Guitar Tutor Commuter is a Sydney based music school providing in home music lessons to students of all ages and skill levels.

Our tutors travel all around Sydney to give you lessons in the comfort of your own home. We offer private lessons and group lessons in students’ homes as well as online, in our tutors home studios and in schools. You can see the full list of what is available on our locations page.

Guitar Tutor Commuter was established at the beginning of 2017 with the aim of creating flexible and affordable alternatives for busy students and parents who would otherwise miss out on music lessons.

We were noticing the ever increasing fees of other music schools and the extraordinary margins between what they charge and what they pay their tutors. It was time for someone to change this. 

We began as just a couple of guitar and bass tutors in Hornsby with a burning passion to inspire greatness but only a handful of students. A few years later, we are proud to have more than 15 passionate tutors of a range of instruments and an ever growing community of motivated students all over Sydney!

We attribute this success to our firm belief in prioritising affordability and a fair rate for our tutors over personal profits. This is because we really love what we do. We love seeing our students progress each week. We don’t want to see anyone miss out for financial reasons, and we love music!
