VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Complementary Therapies

The full Diploma in Complementary Therapies gives you qualifications in the following:

• Aromatherapy
• Reflexology
• Body Massage
• Business skills for therapists, Professional Practice for therapists, Anatomy physiology and pathology, and Healthy eating and wellbeing for therapy clients.

With no more than 6 learners in the group, you are guaranteed dedicated individual tuition.

Please allow up to two years to complete the course. Tuition is through blended learning: distance learning for the theory side, and the practical side will be taught and assessed in three 12 week blocks.

For reflexology, you will learn foot and hand reflexology.  The course is assessed through completion of 100 case studies, assessed practice, and a portfolio.

For aromatherapy, you will learn how to safely use 42 essential oils and over 15 carrier oils and substances. The course is assessed through completion of 60 case studies, assessed practice, and a portfolio.

For body massage, you will learn how to safely carry out a Swedish style body massage using appropriate carrier oils, gels and powders. The course is assessed through completion of 32 case studies, assessed practice, and a portfolio.

You will then be required to attend tutorials every month. You can do the case studies at the Amethyst Centre if you wish, or if you have premises of your own you can do them there: however you are not allowed to charge for case studies and your clients must understand that they are being seen by a trainee therapist. As part of the tutorials, you will be asked to work on a client and be observed by the teacher.

If you are already a practising therapist, you are welcome to join this course. If your qualification falls within the last 5 years, we are able to RPL this learning across to this qualification.

In the way of kit, you are required to attend wearing a therapist tunic and closed-toe shoes, with make-up kept to a minimum, hair secured back from the face, and short nails with no varnish.

The Centre will provide everything you need to use while you are at the Centre, such as towels, couch covers and waxes/balms/lotions/oils. You will need to provide these yourself for your practice outside the Centre.

A £300 booking fee is payable on booking, and the rest can be payable in 12 monthly instalments. if you prefer you can pay the full price up front or by credit card. We take Paypal or bank transfer, and we use Stripe to manage the monthly payments.
