This course tracks along the HTML/CSS/JavaScript vertical, which provides students with a series of learning experiences in the fields of front-end web development, server-side programming, and network and systems engineering.
Students new to web programming will start off on beginner levels and through various coding challenges build webpages with HTML and style them with increasingly complex CSS properties. Upper level students also learn through various challenges and focus on building web applications that track and use data to make webpages more purposeful, gain exposure to backend programming, facilitate client communication with servers over HTTP, and tackle programming algorithms in JavaScript. Each student will complete various passion projects centered on individual areas of interest such as thematic websites, e-commerce, social networking, and search engines.
