The WHMIS Course (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) will provide the information required for working with Hazardous Materials in the workplace. It is a 4 hour classroom course covering all of the OH&S Regulations as they pertain to WHMIS
Theoretical training allows participants to acquire the basic knowledge and skills necessary to respond safely to hazardous material spills.
This course helps learners identify potential hazards in the workplace using various hazard identification tools, with the goal of preventing incidents from occurring.
During the course delegates will gain knowledge on the basic principles of chemical spill handling, use of chemical spill equipment and hazard communication.
Workplace hazards can cause incidents and injury - controlling hazards prevents them. Recognizing, evaluating and controlling hazards are the basic building blocks of any safety and health management system.
