Community First Responder scheme?
Our Community First Responder scheme (CFR), a dedicated group of highly trained volunteers, operating as a charity under the governance of the East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust. This initiative addresses a critical need, addressing the UK’s statistics for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest survival rates.
Approximately 600 lives are lost annually due to cardiac arrests, with rural areas facing longer emergency service response times compared to urban settings. Therefore bridging this gap, SNCR CFRs play a crucial role in improving survival chances providing timely medical intervention in rural communities.
