Course Details

Working at Height Awareness Training is required if you need an awareness or limited supervision of work at height.

We provide training at our training centre in Sheffield and nationwide across the UK.

All our instructors are trained to the highest quality and have experience working in the emergency services. They don’t just teach working at height and harness training, but they’ve lived and breathed it.

The course covers:

  • What is work at height?

  • Avoiding the need to work at height and the regulations

  • Risk assessments and safe systems of work

  • Planning for work at height

  • Procedures for access, methods and platforms

  • Fall protection – collective and personal

  • Anchor requirements

  • Inspection, care and maintenance of PPE

The course will enable delegates to:

  • Identify what is work at height

  • Have knowledge of?relevant assessments, systems, and appreciate the importance of controlling height tasks

  • Have a?knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment, levels of height protection, protecting others from dropped objects and other control measures

  • Know the roles and responsibilities of a work at height – manager, operative and rescuer? 

  • Be aware of emergency procedures under Work at Height Regulations
