Course Details

In terms of teta regulations, an occupational health medical certificate of fitness to operate lifting equipment and an id copy is required before certificates can be issued for delegates.

 Client is to arrange the medicals from an Occupational Health Practitioner at own cost and have them available before or on commencement of training to hand in to the facilitator.

Please ensure that all safety Harnesses are available on the day to complete the practical component of the course.

 

Course Details

Introduction

In terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations of 85 of 1993 as amended, the Law compels Employers to “protect” the health and safety of the Employee by various means.

Firstly, conducting a “Risk Assessment” based on what is seen or believed as being “reasonably practical” by a “Competent Person” of the proposed task to be undertaken by the Employee.

Secondly, by providing training and any safety equipment that may be required by the Employee before attempting to carry out that task.
