Work Zone Traffic Management involves the management of traffic flow through and around road work sites, major events and areas where there is a disruption to the flow of traffic or hazard.
Course Objective
Work Zone Traffic Management involves the management of traffic flow through and around road work sites, major events and areas where there is a disruption to the flow of traffic or hazard.
In South Australia the Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) govern the undertaking of Work Zone Traffic Management.
Course Outcome
On successful completion of this course participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for
and a temporary Work Zone Traffic Management card that can be used to work on site while waiting for the DIT issued card to be received in the mail.
The temporary WZTM card will be issued to participants at the end of their training course e.g. before the participant leaves our premises.
The temporary WZTM card along with proof of identity, must be carried at all times that the holder is engaged at a work area or site and must be presented immediately upon request by a DIT officer or authorised person.
The card is only valid once signed by the cardholder.

Pre-requisites
Students must be able to speak, read and understand basic English to communicate to a safe level.
Students must wear personal protective equipment while attending the course including long sleeve shirt, steel capped boots and long trousers.
Students must provide photo identification upon enrolment in the course (e.g. driver’s licence; passport or proof of age card).
Students must have a unique student identifier (USI) to obtain their nationally accredited certificate or qualification.

This course provides training for staff who are required to control traffic with stop-slow bat. This course aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to obtain Traffic Controller Card.
This course consists of two modules which must be completed together on the same day Control Traffic with Stop Go Bat and Implement Traffic Management Plans
This course will provide participants with the theory and skills necessary to safely control traffic with a Stop/Slow bat in accordance with Main Roads WA standards and Austroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management.
This course is designed to enhance your understanding of the role of a traffic controller and provide the knowledge and skills required to apply the traffic controlling procedures on a worksite.
