Established in 1997, the Association of Process Industry (ASPRI) is a membership-based trade association that represents the interest of companies in Singapore’s Process Industry.
This includes the petroleum, petrochemical, specialty chemicals and pharmaceutical sectors.
Our membership comprises mainly Engineering Service Providers (ESPs) that support the Process Industry in the areas of plant maintenance and plant construction.
The growth of our membership by more than ten-fold to over 500 companies in less than two decades is a strong testament of ASPRI’s work.
ASPRI works very closely with several key stakeholders including its members, Process Plant Owners, Government Agencies and Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), to propel the growth of the Process Industry and its supporting industries in various areas such as infrastructure, internationalisation, management practices, mechanisation, workers’ capabilities, performance metrics and turnaround scheduling, etc.
ASPRI looks forward to welcoming more members in partnering us for growth and innovation.
Considering the importance of human factors in accident and incident investigation, the training is to equip employees an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of human cognition such as attention, perception and decision making.
The Hydraulic Excavator Operation course aims to equip both new and inexperienced workers with the knowledge and skills on the safe operation and basic maintenance of the hydraulic excavator.
Human factors engineering (HFE) is about making it easy for people to do things right and difficult for them to do things wrong. Major accidents have highlighted the importance of addressing this aspect of performance, e.g. wrong operator response, slow response and incorrect diagnosis.
Many accidents that have occurred in the past were due to the lack of LOTO procedures. This course will allow participants to understand the importance of LOTO at workplaces.
On completion of this unit, learners will be equipped with the necessary knowledge and expertise to perform the duties of an entrant and attendant when working in a confined space, use gas detection instruments and participate in an emergency situation.
