At Alberta Film School, we’re dedicated to providing focused, hands-on education that empowers creatives to start working as freelancers or within a company right away.

Unlike larger film schools that train students for roles on movie sets and big productions, we’re focused on teaching the skills needed to work independently and deliver professional results for clients.

Our workshops cover the essential skills in photography, videography, and editing—ensuring that by the time you complete our program, you’re ready to take on real-world projects with confidence.

Whether you’re interested in shooting corporate videos, event photography, or building a personal brand, Alberta Film School equips you with the tools to succeed in client-based work.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: we train creatives to work independently, build their own portfolio, and confidently handle client projects—whether for events, corporate work, or freelance gigs.

We understand that many of our students aren’t looking to join a large production crew but want to work for themselves, create content for businesses, or take on freelance clients.

That’s why we focus on giving you the skills needed to take control of your own projects from start to finish.
