Founded in Montréal in 2004, the Barista Micro-Roastery is part of Québec's fourth coffee wave. Our history begins with the long-standing friendship between Barista’s two co-founders, Alex Sereno and Enrico Serena.
These passionate coffee lovers struck out on this endeavour with perfectly complementary strengths; Enrico the artisan, and Alex the communicator. Also, in the original team was Laurent Cugno, whose business development and management acumen had already been proven many times over.
Throughout the years, throughout the success, the challenges, and the hardships, the team has always worked perfectly together; and this is how we continue to offer the highest quality products, inspired by the Italian tradition of slow roasted coffee, for true espresso lovers.
Over the years, Barista has developed a terrific production team, a thoughtful and efficient customer support department, coffee experts, equipment specialists, a creative marketing department, and a staff of seasoned baristas without whom our mission would be impossible. For us, it's all about heart and teamwork.
Our Mission
As complete coffee experts, we are looking to create and offer high-quality slow-roasted blends, as well as make the art of preparing the best coffee at home more accessible. We do this by producing relevant content, educational tools, training, and comprehensive services for both amateurs and professionals alike. Our team counts on customer support and services to provide all our patrons with the fullest coffee experience possible.
