From a young age, I was interested in nature and ecology. The desire to create a more sustainable world, where humans coexist in harmony with other species, led me to the field of urban ecology.
After completing a master's degree in urban planning and working for a number of years on urban sustainability projects, I was increasingly becoming aware of an irresistible calling to learn about the medicinal virtues of plants and to harness that knowledge to help others on their path to better health.
Through my own health challenges and those of my loved ones, I discovered a variety of alternative healing modalities complementary to modern medicine, which, each in their own way, helped me along the way. I believe that each healing tradition has its virtues and its place.
For me, herbalism is my niche and my passion. I feel an intimate connection to the world of plants, and enormous respect and gratitude for all that plants offer us.I completed my herbal studies at the Wild Rose College and have trained with a number of experienced herbalists in Canada.
My goal is to bring plants and people closer together, and - using intimate knowledge of the workings of the human body and the properties of medicinal herbs - to contribute to the wellbeing of humankind through this ecological practice of medicine.
Witnessing the transformative power of plant medicine on people’s health gives me immense gratification and inspires me to further my practice and study of herbalism.
